I don't know if my body just knew my 24 day challenge was over or what but I ate quite a bit. I still ate healthy besides the bread & mac n cheese at my sisters but I was snacky all day. Thank goodness for my dehydrator snacks. I snacked on them almost all day. My son refuses to eat the dehydrated food but I bet once I do pineapples he will be all over it! My daughter is in love with the strawberries. If you have never used a dehydrator I highly suggest borrowing one from a friend or purchasing one. I got mine for $10 on a FB yard sale.</span> Great Deal! </div>

My plan is to take the 14 day MNS pack, then take it once again & then start another 24 day challenge. While taking the MNS pack I will continue to take Catalyst as well as Thurmoplus. It is recommended to take the 24 day challenge every 3 months because of the cleanse but I have read quite a few times and heard a few people say that they take it sooner than that. About every 6 weeks, so that is what I plan to do the first few times around until I am under 200 pounds. :)</span></div>

I bought a food dehydrator a few days ago & spent the day dehydrating apples, bananas & strawberries. I have been snacking on them all day as they have been drying. Good Stuff! Well today I didn't really eat a whole lot... Every time I went to make something my kids were hungry & I was using the very last of Something... gotta love kids. lol I did eat enough though. I had a meal replacement shake, a banana, a chicken salad and 1/2 of a black bean burger. So I guess they didn't take ALL of my food. :)<br />

Just a word of advice... Do not weigh yourself every day if you are going to do this. Trust me. I have weighed myself every day for 21 days now & it has honestly been the most stressful part. My weight has fluctuated every single day, up, down, the same, you name it I have seen it on the scale the last couple of weeks. It is not fun at all... If you are going to learn anything from reading this blog, I think its that.<br />
<br />
You know what i made tonight? My "Wonderful" <a href="http://myadvocarejourney.blogspot.com/2012/03/colflower-cheese-noodles.html">Cauliflower Cheese & Noodles</a>. And I say "Wonderful" because I messed it up! I messed up my own darn recipe! lol how sad... I wasted a ton of food because I did it wrong. I know what happened though. I used the wrong "Cheese" .. I bought a new kind of vegan cheese to try & it didn't work out very well. I will be buying some new ingredients today to make it tonight & I will be posting a picture of the cheese I use on the recipe page so there is no confusion. <br />
<br />
I EAT when I a stressed out... and having 2 kids & a husband... that's enough to get me to that beyond stressed level. I ate 1 1/2 slices of cheesecake today. Yup. We bought it for my husbands birthday for this weekend, the 25th, but he was feeling down this past weekend because we were sick so when he got groceries he bought it for us to 'celebrate' a week early. Well, we all love cheesecake. Yumm. My kids were little devils today.. so I took my frustration out on cheesecake!<br />

I have done great with remembering to take everything besides today. Well, as you can see this is day 20... BUT the date is the 19th & my last post, day 19, was posted 4 days ago... The family & I got SUPER Sick!... So we had to take a few days off from our Challenge. But we are back on track today. Started on my MNS Pack like I have been so hopefully I will keep seeing a decrease in weight. I am actually a little bummed about 13.4 pounds. I musta done the math wrong earlier, I thought I was down 14.6 pounds. Oh shucks... Guess I will just have to work a little harder to get there sooner than later! :)</div>

Dustin stayed home sick today from work because he has been sick. Last night he started getting sick (throwing up) We don't think its related at all to any advocare stuff we were doing, I think he just got a stomach bug. So today we all kind of took the day off. we didn't do anything but lounge around. I didn't even take the kids to school, we just relaxed and enjoyed the day. It was nice but days like these are always hard for me because I get snacky because I am not doing anything else. <br />

We decided we are going to get a gym membership soon. Dustin has lost almost 15 pounds so far & he doesn't really need to lose much more, just needs to start focusing on gaining muscles. Dustins birthday is in 10 days & I got him a trunk rack for his bike so he can take his bike out & ride more. I also got him a mirror for his bike as well as a new comfortable seat. I am looking forward to giving it to him. I hope it encourages him to get out and ride more. He really enjoys riding his bike right now but I think this will help boost him up and get him excited to have some new gadgets to play with.. you know how boys are! ;) <br />

*Sigh*... Same weight as yesterday! Disappointing! yet I have a smile on my face! Feels so good not to be almost 250 pounds!!!</div>

I sure Feel like a SLACKER! My last few blog posts have hardly had any information in them. Just been a busy week. Trying to make this lifestyle change takes up a lot of effort on my part. I am cooking way more than normal, preparing, planning, trying to tell people about Advocare, lots of work! I have a lot more energy since I have started Advocare but I am still doing all the normal "mom/wife" stuff... and I am trying to do things right so I don't set my family up to fail. <br />
I feel like I have come to a complete standstill with my weight, I know I shouldn't worry about it but I just want to be losing more! At least get to the 220's before I am done with this challenge. I feel like eating wise I am doing everything I possibly can but I know I need to step it up physically. Last night after I made my post I rode our exercise bike for 2 miles before I went to bed. It felt good, and though its not a ton of exercise it was better than nothing. <br />
<br />
I am really liking the meal replacement shakes. they are very good. Chocolate is my favorite. I have yet to try vanilla. The chocolate tastes exactly like a cold hot cocoa, not too sweet, not too "meal replacement"-Y... either.. (Had one for breakfast & lunch!)<br />
We are going through fruit & veggies like crazy. Out again! Eating healthy is very expensive.. just an FYI for anyone who is going to be doing this. Prices for Advocare plus food... apparently its a good thing that we are trying to sell it... lol my financial goal right now is to make enough money to buy our supplies. With Dustin & I both doing this we have purchased 2 - 24 day challenges, 3 bottles of catalyst & will continue with the mns max pack after the 24 days along with the catalyst as well as trying some new products.<br />

Just can't wait to lose more weight! We are on day 16 with 8 days to go before our Challenge is up & I was hopeing to have lost about a pound a day. Once again, I know people say don't worry about weight but I think its important for people to see a change in their body as well as on the scale (especially when you are as heavy as I am). You gotta know its REALLY happening. Even if you are fluxuating a little like me, don't get discouraged. Its not really a big deal but I guess for me I don't like when someone says they lost 20 pounds or have before/after pictures & you just can't tell.. I feel like I am trying my hardest to make sure I can show I have lost weight &/or Inches.</span></div>

I wish my job was a little more physical and not me sitting behind a computer. I ate a slice of Pizza at the baby shower & it Made me sick. I got a headache & felt like crap the rest of the afternoon. Not cool. So as you can see I had an Off Day!... But besides all of that I actually had a pretty good day. Ate healthy besides that & took all my pills. Dustin forgot to take most of his pills today. Apparently it was an off day for him too! I feel mostly guilty about eating pizza but at the same time I don't. I have been doing really good, its okay to have a treat, although if I would have known how badly my body would have rejected it and made me sick I wouldn't have attempted it... lol I guess that's what I get. </span></div>

I put half the packet into a 16.9 oz bottle this morning & it tasted like cold hot cocoa and it was fantastic!... I was pretty hungry this morning & really liked the veggie burger I had last night so for breakfast I made a black bean burger & ate it with half my meal replacement shake. I am hoping that this will hold my appetite for a while today. We will see. I usually need a breakfast in the morning to keep me going. If I get hungry I will finish my meal replacement shake. Kinda beats the purpose of having a meal replacement if I'm not replacing a meal but it is still good for me and will most likely be a good snack later on. :)</span></div>

If you on the 24 day challenge in the phase 2 part, I very highly suggest you drink one of these if you are needing something sweet. Yesterday I had a hard time drinking the entire Chocolate protein shake (Not for any particular reason) but again today I am having a hard time drinking the berry & my tummy was rumbling before I made it. I am actually trying to chug it with my nose closed as crazy as that is. That is how sweet it is. Almost not that enjoyable for me right now. I do still crave sweets every now and then but "milkshake" kinda foods are not really my ideal dessert.</span></div>

He said he puts his in a big jug of water so its very deluded compared to the way I have been drinking them. I never thought to look at the instructions, i still haven't looked, it might say to mix it with a lot more water then I thought! So hopefully that will help solve my problem. I got hungry like an hour later & had to eat something, it didn't seem to hold me over for long. I am usually a breakfast eater though, unlike my husband so that could be why? </span><br />

Yesterday I said I was going to start exercising a little more and I didn't make it happen yesterday! Oh well, life just gets in the way of plans sometimes and you just have to go with the flow! but I made up for it today. Did some push-ups with Dustin (Okay, yes, i did girl push-ups... and not that many... ) But I DID do some. that is what counts in my book!</span><br />

He has been a lot happier, been in a better mood, feeling good, doing push-ups & jumping jacks at work, he is encouraging me a lot without even trying. I like it. :) ... I do notice that I have more energy than i did before but nothing like what he has. Maybe I just don't see it because its ME... I do know he drinks a few sparks a day & I maybe have 1... but I don't think that is the difference... but then again, maybe. I will try and drink a few more tomorrow & experiment!... </span></div>

So today Dustin & I started the 2nd phase! I am determined to work out intensely for 30 minutes a day, I have been really focusing on what we are eating & all of the vitamins but I know I need to kick it up a notch. My goal is to continue eating like the 10 day cleanse with small additional changes as time goes on. For the most part I plan on staying dairy free & sticking to whole grain/whole wheat. To me those things aren't a huge deal to stick to. Dairy free stuff is a little more expensive, so that is really the only downfall to this, but dairy never really seemed to agree with me so it will be for the better. </div>

Over the next few weeks I will be adding some red meats & some shrimp back into our diet because that's mostly what I am missing. Of course sugars will be added back in moderation... hehe.. but I have found some amazing looking sugar free recipes that I will be trying out first. No need to eat the bad stuff if it can be replaced by something healthier & still get the great taste that I crave!</div>

For breakfast I had a meal replacement shake. Directions say to mix it in 8 oz of water. I had 2 large drinks of my bottle of water then added it and shook it, it was almost a full bottle. I drank half and felt like I couldn't drink anymore. Put it in the freezer for a little bit & slowly sipped on it over the next 40 minutes. This is the first one I have ever had. I tried a sit of the chocolate before we tried the cleanse just to see how it tasted and it was pretty good. It has milk in it so its not something you want to take days 1-10 unless you need to. I think I might have said this before but Dustin is not a breakfast person & has a hard time eating stuff so this is good for him. He actually had one yesterday (day 10) because he was not feeling well yesterday morning & didn't want to eat anything.</div>

LOTS of pills! Sheesh! ... this is what you do on the 2nd phase.... You are given a strip of 4 packets per 14 days in your mns pack. You take 1 pack 30 minutes before breakfast, 1 pack with breakfast, 1 back 30 minutes before lunch & the 4th pack with lunch. Also if you are taking any "add on's" you will want to take them as well. I have never been so tired of taking pills. I am starting to have a hard time swallowing them! <br />

For lunch I had 1 slice of bagel w/ vegan cream cheese & pepper turkey. <br />

Snack time I had a few triscuts, grapes & a banana.<br />

I'm sure you have noticed I eat a lot of the same foods! I made this one a little different, added 4 times as much veggies & added spinach as well. Tasted amazing. I kinda felt like I had a carb overload today.. <br />

And I only used 2 tablespoons and it made 4 large meals with a lot of water/teriyaki mix at the bottom of the pan when I was done so although not a good choice its one of my personal favorites & I used a very limited amount. Advocare always says "its a life style, not a diet", well no way teriyaki sauce is going out the window so it was a special dinner for us. Not something we will be having every night!</div>

That is Dustin's FAVORITE! I can't believe I didn't even think about making it. Super Simple. Super Good! & more importantly it makes Dustin happy! I told him last night and he said he would probably wake up in the middle of the night and make some lol he didn't... but I made him some this morning! He had some for lunch. He is having a hard time not being able to snack on crackers/chips. Just something like that. Eating veggies & fruit non stop all the time for snack is getting old already... and I don't blame him, it is getting a little harder but I am doing pretty good with my adjusting.</span></div>

Wasn't the greatest either, by far the worst meal I have made on the 24 day challenge... :-/ I have yet to use anything from the 24 day challenge cookbook so maybe I will try something like that tomorrow! </span></div>

Dustin & I both tried the <a href="https://www.advocare.com/120229651/Store/ItemDetail.aspx?itemCode=A1082&id=E&flavor=4">Slam Energy Drinks</a>, they were Good! Well at least the one I had was good! Definitely gave me a buzz of energy. They do have a ton of caffeine in them though. Advocare advertises them as having as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, I think that is a little miss leading. I know coffee has a lot of caffeine in it but the slam energy drinks & the spark are the equivalent to 2.5 mt. dews!... So lots & lots!... Dustin & I went off caffeine a while back & we didn't realize how much caffeine we are now drinking at 2-3 bottles of spark a day... </span></div>

I tried and tried to come up with a better name but I just couldn't figure one out!... I was really wanting a mac n cheese that was healthy for the 10 day challenge and after looking and looking and not finding anything that didn't involve a buttload of butter or something really fattening so I decided to experiment & make my own recipe. It didn't really turn out like mac n cheese but it was SUPER good! Have you ever tried The Pioneer Woman's <a href="http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/01/cauliflower-soup/">Cauliflower Soup</a>? It is one of my husbands favorites & we just got lucky because it actually turned out very similar! It was crazy luck! </div>

Ingredients:<br />
Cauliflower (1 1/2 cups)<br />
Carrots (1/2 cup)<br />
Almond Milk (1 1/2 cups)- Unsweetened or Original<br />
Hummus (4 tablespoons)- Garlic if possible.<br />
Vegan Cream Cheese (4 tablespoons)<br />
Vegan Shredded Cheese (1 bag)<br />
Turkey (2 cups chopped)<br />
Whole Wheat Noodles (3 cups uncooked)<br />
Green beans (frozen or Fresh!!- Not Canned!!)<br />

Cook 3 cups of whole wheat noodles. <br />

In a food processor combine cauliflower, carrots, 1/2 cup almond milk, & hummus & blend until very purred. Slowly heat 1 cup of almond milk on the stove top, add cauliflower blend & mix well. Add vegan cream cheese & entire bag of vegan shredded cheese. Continue to mix until the cheese melts & becomes the thickness you desire. Then add chopped turkey & mix. Don't forget to prepare your green beans!! <br />

I had my green beans on the side. My husband mixed his noodles & green beans then topped with cauliflower cheese sauce. <br />

I know its only day 5 so not too worried but thought I would mention that. Also, I am not sure if I mentioned this but yesterday I started taking <a href="https://www.advocare.com/120229651/Store/ItemDetail.aspx?itemCode=T2010&id=A">Catalyst</a> 30 minutes before Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. I am taking 4 every time. Catalyst helps maintain muscle mass & helps protect & repair muscle tissues. Often times people call it a fat burner or "lipo in a bottle". Its really good for you. I was thinking of not taking this my first time around because I wanted the experience with what would happen to my body by just using the <a href="https://www.advocare.com/120229651/Store/ItemDetail.aspx?itemCode=99038&id=A&flavor=1">24 day challenge</a> but I decided I was just going to go all in and give it everything I got! </span></span></div>

Well maybe I have not been giving it all I got. I have not exercised once this week. I have been doing really good working out lately but this week I have been so focused on ADVOCARE!!... Making sure we are eating healthy enough, make sure we are eating enough food but not too much, and mostly trying to prevent my husband from stressing out about food. He is a snacker so he is having a hard time not coming home & snacking on the biggest bowl of chips he can possibly find! </div>

Just took my evening pills... man.. there are LOTS of pills involved in Advocare. I am on day 5 and combined I have taken like 50 pills already! The good thing about it though is even though some of them are large pills they are easy to take. Not too much to handle.</div>

So something you all need to realize is I was STUCK at 247-249 for months... and back in December when I started eating healthier I lost a few pounds but it was always up & down between 244 & 248. so being 230 something pounds is really exciting for me. I know on the 24 day cleanse some people don't lose WEIGHT they only lose INCHES, well I started off on Sunday at 242 (I was totally surprised at that number btw since I had been stuck for so long!), so I have LOT of weight to lose, there is no way I could possibly not lose weight in my opinion. If I lost a zillion inches, sure I would be forever Grateful! But I do need to lose WEIGHT and expect to lose weight. I am sure some people disagree with me but when YOU weigh as much as I do you know there is a lot to lose and it should be coming off!! :)</div>

Well I got a few new spices yesterday, I am excited to try them! The Mediterranean one I had last night for dinner on my steamed yellow zucchini, it was fantastic! Most of these seasonings have 1 gram of sugar or >Less than one gram of sugar. I am told that is OK!</div>

Breakfast: Had a banana, super exciting I know! Also had a <a href="https://www.advocare.com/120229651/Store/ItemDetail.aspx?itemCode=A2096&id=E&flavor=L&size=C">spark drink</a>. Looking forward to Friday, we should be getting our $3,000 worth of product in! Looking for the Pink Lemonade, I am not a huge fan of flavored stuff but the lemonade is really good. A little nervous about having so much product delivered. I am new to this and Dustin & I don't know a lot of people, so I am going to be putting myself out there big time!</div>
